Newton 5th Grade Boys Black Team Wins Second Straight New England Championship
The Newton Metrowest Travel Basketball program plays competitive basketball (4th through 8th grade boys and girls) in the Metrowest Basketball League, which has over 1000 teams from area towns. We stress teaching basketball skills, sportsmanship, and fun in a competitive basketball league environment. Newton typically offers a higher and lower division team in each age group. Players who live in Newton or attend Newton schools through the METCO program are eligible. Players must play in the grade that they currently attend.

Tryouts are in October. The tryout schedule is posted. Games are typically on Sundays from December – mid-March. We are seeking parents and volunteers to coach at all levels. If interested, please contact the appropriate coordinator listed below.
